The EICA; Ratho is full of active, exciting and fun activities during the Easter holidays.  Based around all things fun and led by fully qualified, experienced staff, you’re safe in the knowledge that you won’t hear those two little words “I’m bored” ever again during the holidays!

So what's on offer?

Simple really – all things fun. To help you choose, we’ve added a description of what each activity has to offer.

Taster Session: Taster courses are just that, a little taste of climbing in one hour. We’ll get you kitted out and up the wall with the support of our climbing instructors. By the end of the session you'll have conquered any fear of heights and be eager to get back in the arena.

Climbing Tower: If the kids aren’t quite ready for the arena, our mobile climbing tower is an excellent way to get started for all those over 4 years old. With the supervision of one of our instructors and an auto belay system, they can swing down in the safety of a harness.

Family Climb: Want to get started as a family? This 90 minute session is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to learn basic rope work and safety skills, so that you can all enjoy our mighty climbing walls and boulders. The group must include two adults over the age of 18, with a max of 6 people in a group (all must be over 4 years old).

Aerial Assault - Are you brave enough to take on our Aerial Assault course? Take a leap of faith and step off a platform 100ft above the arena, fly down the death-defying twisted zip slide and then follow a series of formidable obstacles! Must be over 1.4 metres tall.

Multi activity day - Can’t choose just one activity? Check out our Multi Activity days! From indoor to outdoor climbing and abseiling to the Aerial Assault, this action packed day is the ideal way for the kids to spend their holidays. Suitable for children aged 8 -14 years old.

Scrambles soft play- Our climbing themed soft play allows the kids to enjoy exploring, swinging and climbing, while you can look on from the comfort of our cafe. Suitable for children aged 0-9 years old.

Climbing courses and clubs:                                                                               

Marmottes: A club specially designed for kids aged 4 - 5 years, each session consists of a 1 hour climbing based activity followed by 30 minutes in Scrambles soft play. Our climbing instructors and soft play assistants are highly experienced at looking after young children, allowing the kids to develop their confidence and skills in a safe environment.

Pebbles:  Pebbles is a fun session designed to introduce kids aged 5 - 7 years to the joys and challenges of climbing. Using the climbing tower, bouldering walls and scrambles soft play, each session consists of a 1 hour climbing based activity followed by 30 minutes in Scrambles soft play.

Ascenders: Is our daily camp for kids aged 8-14 years. They’ll be taught the rope work and safety skills needed to tackle our mighty climbing walls in the arena. And if that wasn’t enough they’ll also get to try out our impressive boulders and abseil down the front of the windows like spiderman...

Ascenders - NICAS Course: A week long course, where you or the kids can work towards achieving a Level 1 certificate of the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme. Using a log book, the scheme is designed to follow a structured syllabus allowing students to; progress quickly, build confidence and develop their teambuilding skills.
