Climbing
Climbing is a physically and mentally challenging sport that anyone can try out. Once you've had that first taste of success you'll be hooked and determined to go higher next time!
With walls from 12m to 35m high and routes from the simple to the technically complex we've got something for all levels and abilities.
Never climbed before? Just give us a call and we can book you into a taster or start- up course. Or if you want some coaching to help improve your climbing technique, we have a range of different courses to suite.
If you are already a competent climber and can; put on your climbing harness correctly, attach a rope to your harness using a suitable climbing knot and use a belay device, then you can register with the EICA for free and climb without instructor supervision.
Please note that competent and experienced climbers between the age of 14 and 17 do need to book a 1hr assessment course in order to use the facility unsupervised – parents should accompany the children to familiarise themselves with the hazards and risks associated with indoor climbing. Children under 14 must always be accompanied by a competent adult.
