Take an exhilarating trip to some of Scotland’s most magnificent hills. In the safe hands of our experienced instructors, you can learn everything from ice axe and crampon use to snow and ice climbing. Once you’ve mastered these invaluable skills, the hills are yours to discover, whatever the season.

Winter Skills: Are you already doing some summer hill walking but looking to head outdoors at other times of year? Our winter skills course will equip you with the key skills of ice axe and crampon use, navigation skills, avalanche awareness and give you the confidence to choose the correct route to the summit in the winter months.

We now also offer a two day winter skills course, that's a great opportunity to go into greater depth and consolidate the skills learnt. And you’ll even get to spend a night in the highlands too! Includes transport and accommodation (B&B may be shared rooms) ratio 1:4.

Introduction to Winter Mountaineering: This 2 day course will help develop your skills and confidence to safely travel around Scotland’s beautiful mountains and snow gullies. The content will cover ice axe and crampon use, navigation skills, avalanche awareness, security on steep ground, rope work, and the skills to know when you need to reconsider your plans! Prior summer hillwalking experience is required. Includes transport and accommodation (B&B may be shared rooms) ratio 1:4.

Scottish Winter Climbing: From the snow ice of Ben Nevis to the frozen turf of The Cobbler, and the frozen waterfalls of Beinn Udlaidh to the granite cliffs of the Cairngorms, we will take you to new heights and back again. Our guided ascents will develop your lead climbing skills and winter scrambling. The course content can be tailored to your level of experience.

Our two day climbing course, is packed full of fantastic climbs. Our experienced instructors will take you where the conditions are at their best and may include Creag Megaidh, the Ben, the technical granite climbing of the Cairngorms, or even the solitude of the Northwest. Includes transport and accommodation (B&B may be shared rooms) ratio 1:2.

Norway Ice: Only a short flight away, Norway’s deep valleys and pure frozen waterfalls, provide some of the most thrilling climbing in Europe. The course will be located at the famous ice destination of Rjukan, where you will experience hundreds of breathtaking routes and our highly experienced instructors will help you to develop your personal winter climbing techniques.

Price includes self catering accommodation. Please note that it does not include flights or airport transfers, however we can arrange to meet or pick you up from the airport.
