This activity can be done either inside the building or outside in the quarry on a fine day. Using four tyres and four poles the object is to get the tyres from one end to the other in order. The tyres (numbered from 1 to 4) must be moved from one end of the line to the other in order; the rule is that a large number (i.e. 4) cannot go on top of a smaller number (i.e. 1). All the tyres must be kept on poles and are not allowed to skip over, they must touch each pole but they can move back and forth as much as needed.
