Next summer we will be running Single Pitch Award (SPA as it is known for short) training and assessment courses. The award will train and assess you in how to supervise people on single pitch outdoor crags and climbing walls. To gain this award you will need to develop more than just personal climbing skills, you'll learn a range of skills from safe group management to environmental responsibilities and more. You will learn how to become an effective supervisor, encouraging others to enjoy their climbing safely, whilst also improving some of your own climbing skills.
Training costs £120 and is available on the following dates:
- 8th & 9th May 2010
- 12th & 13th June 2010
- 10th & 11th July 2010
- 20th & 21st July 2010 (midweek)
- 7th & 8th Aug 2010
The assessment course cost £120 and will take place on:
- 26th & 27th July
- 25th & 26th September
Refresser course:
- 19th June 2010
- 14th Aug 2010
