Sea Stack and Sea Cliff Climbing

Sea stacks are impressive. There’s no getting away from it - these free standing pillars of rock, carved away from the coast by the sea and encircled by water are pretty outstanding. And climbing them is just as outstanding and impressive.
Since Julia Bradbury scaled the heights of The Old Man of Stoer the magical and exciting feeling of climbing sea stacks has gained in popularity. Face wind, water and your own fear by making ascents of the local sea stacks located along the Firth of Forth, to the east of Edinburgh.
Sea stacks are located on a stunning section of the coast and offer exposed, atmospheric climbing followed by exhilarating abseil descents. These climbs are not for novices and we’d recommend that you should be confidently climbing F6A in an indoor environment on a top rope or have seconded HVS on a British crag.
If Sea Stacks sound too technical for you, why not try Coasteering which is suitable for most adults and families
