- From The West on M8
- From The South on A1, A68 or A720
- From The South West on A71
- From Edinburgh City Centre
- From The North, Forth Road Bridge on M90

- By bicycle from Livingston, Uphall or Broxburn
- By Bus
- At M8 junction 2 change from M8 onto the M9, signposted Stirling, M9, Forth Road Bridge, A90.
- Leave the M9 at junction 1 (signposted Airport), then at Newbridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B7030 (signposted Newbridge).
- Take the first left after the petrol station (Cliftonhall Road).
- Follow road straight avoiding signs for Ratho.
- Travel round the side of the Newbridge Industrial Estate, under the railway bridge and passed the Newbridge One estate.
- Travel under the bridges (first canal & then M8) and up the hill.
- The EICA is on the left. It can be identified by a triangular pillar at the end of the road.
From The South on A1, A68 or A720
- When you reach the City Bypass (A720) turn left following signs for Edinburgh North & West.
- Follow the City Bypass for the North & West and exit the bypass at the junction for the M8.
- Follow signs for Forth Road Bridge & Stirling (M9)
- At Newbridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B7030 (signposted Newbridge).
- Take the first left after the petrol station (Cliftonhall Road).
- Follow road straight avoiding signs for Ratho.
- Travel round the side of the Newbridge Industrial Estate, under the railway bridge and passed the Newbridge One estate.
- Travel under the bridges (first canal & then M8) and up the hill.
- The EICA is on the left. It can be identified by a triangular pillar at the end of the road.
- Follow the A71 heading towards Livingston.
- At the traffic lights at Wilkieston turn right (B7030).
- Take the second road on the right identified by a triangular pillar at the end of the road.
- Follow directions fr Edinburgh Airport (A8)
- Continue on A8 until you reach Newbridge Roundabout.
- At Newbridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B7030 (signposted Newbridge).
- Take the first left after the petrol station (Cliftonhall Road).
- Follow road straight avoiding signs for Ratho.
- Travel round the side of the Newbridge Industrial Estate, under the railway bridge and passed the Newbridge One estate.
- Travel under the bridges (first canal & then M8) and up the hill.

From The North, Forth Road Bridge on M90
- When leaving Forth Road Bridge keep in right hand lane.
- Follow signs for Glasgow M8 and Stirling M9 following the new M9 spur.
- Continue straight ahead onto M9.
- Leave the M9 at Junction 1, then at Newbridge roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the B7030 (signposted Newbridge).
- Take the first left after the petrol station (Cliftonhall Road).
- Follow road straight avoiding signs for Ratho.
- Travel round the side of the Newbridge Industrial Estate, under the railway bridge and passed the Newbridge One estate.
- Travel under the bridges (first canal & then M8) and up the hill.

- There is a traffic free cycle route running right by our door which has a couple of starting locations within the city centre but to stay on cycle routes the whole way the meadows is the best starting point to get to EICA.
- The National Cycle Network takes you to Slateford where it meets another marked cycle path.
- From there continue past Kingsknowe and Wester Hailes and join the route of the Union Canal.
- The canal route takes you past East Hermiston, past Gogarburn and Ratho and right to our doorstep.
By bicycle from Livingston, Uphall and Broxburn
- Cycle routes take you from Livingston, Uphall and Broxburn and converge at the side of the Union Canal by Muirend.
- From Muirend you follow the side of the canal past Clifton Mains to our doorstep.
- Unfortuantely there is no direct bus route to the centre however the Lothian Buses X48 stops in the town of Ratho which is just along the canal towpath to our centre.
- Get off the bus at The Bridge Inn and head down to the Union Canal towpath.
- Take a walk along the towpath which will take around 15 minutes.
- Arrive at EICA.
