IRATA Rope Access Training
Industrial Rope Access training next course date 5 - 9 May 2008 available at EICA: Ratho.
Rope access is a form of work positioning, initially developed from techniques used in climbing and caving, which applies practical ropework to cater for the various needs of industry. At EICA we are delighted to be able to offer training in Rope Access approved by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). For more information on Rope Access visit www.irata.org.
Industrial Rope Access provides a safe and efficient means of access to undertake a wide variety of tasks with five main areas in which rope access companies operate. The main areas are:
- Inspection and Testing Safety surveys
- Maintenance and Repair Sealant installation and reinstatement
- Cleaning and Painting
- Window cleaning
- Geotechnical (Civil Engineering)
IRATA's principal aim is to ensure that work carried out by its members using industrial rope access techniques, is done in a safe and high quality manner, a view shared by the instructional team at EICA.
