Don't waste your school holidays hanging about on street corners or sitting in front of the TV, try something new! This Summer the EICA has got a variety of fun activities to keep you busy. From climbing to the Aerial Assault course, and abseiling to multi activity days, there's something for everyone! We're even now offering Gorge Walking!. See a list of activities and prices below:

Ascenders
The Ascenders is our daily camp where you’ll get an introduction to the basic rope work and safety skills you’ll need to tackle our climbing walls and bouldering facilities. During your session you’ll also have the chance
to try out some of our other activities such as abseiling and fun games!

Taster session 
Taster courses are just that, a little taste of climbing. These one hour courses will get you kitted out and on the wall with the support of our climbing instructors. You’ll try out the sticky shoes (essential for making light work of hardwalls), be fitted with a helmet and literally shown the ropes. Taster courses are all about getting you moving on the wall, firstly from side to side getting used to the holds and as you feel more confident you’ll start
heading upwards.

Family Climb
Family climb sessions are coached 90mins sessions for a maximum of 6 people. Participants must be aged 4 years and above. Your family will get an introduction to the basic rope work and safety skills you.ll need to
tackle our climbing walls and bouldering facilities. An ideal way to have some family fun time!

Climbing tower sessions 
30 mins session on our Atrium Tower wall. Participants must be aged 4 years and above. An excellent way to catch the climbing bug.

Marmottes Marmottes sessions are a 90mins session which is open to kids aged from 4 to 5 years. Each session consists of climbing based activities in the arena, supervised by an EICA coach and soft play assistant, followed by fun time in Scrambles.

Pebbles  Pebbles sessions are a 90mins session which is open to kids aged from 5 to 7 years. Each session consists of climbing based activities in the arena, supervised by an EICA coach and soft play assistant, followed by fun time
in Scrambles.

Aerial Assault course
Our Aerial Assault Course is the ultimate adrenaline rush, a truly unique experience where you, quite literally, let it all hang out 100ft from the ground. The ride begins with a death-defying twisted zip slide and ends with a series of increasingly formidable obstacles. The Aerial Assault is a personal challenge not to be missed for all those
greater than 1.4m tall. Bookable up to 7 days in advance.

Abseil
A serious skill or another personal challenge you decide why you try abseiling we just make sure you enjoy it. Discover how to descend cliff faces and buildings, controlling your speed of descent down our 25m drop. Tuition,
supervision and exhilaration are all included.

Multi Activity Day
Aimed at young people from 8 -14 years old, who would like to try indoor climbing, outdoor climbing, abseiling and the Aerial Assault.  They will experience all of these exciting challenges under the guidance of qualified and experienced mountaineering instructors.

NRG Zone
NRG Zone is all about you! It’s a whole load of sessions for 12-15 year olds so you can hang out with your mates, get fit with others your age, and design your own work out with the help of our fitness instructors. Work up a sweat on the cardio equipment (that’s the treadmill, bike, rower, cross trainer or stepper) or pump it using the weights, it’s up to you.

Rockport Adventure Camp
This summer Edinburgh Leisure are running their new ‘Rockport Adventure Camp’. Located at the EICA and Port Edgar Marina, it’s packed full of exciting adventures that will allow the kids to have a full week of fun and the parents some quality ‘you’ time! Click here for more information.

Prices and Dates:

* Family climb session must include at least 2 adults aged over 18 years old

**Hight restriction: must be over 1.4m

*** Only available on Fridays
