Bouldering
With its variety of angled training and bouldering boards to cater for climbers of all abilities the bouldering room at EICA provides a whole range of challenges to conquer. Routes in the cavern range from V0 - V15.
In the centre of the arena are three featured realistic real rock style boulders, featuring a range of angles, routes and levels of difficulty from V0 – V12 in grade and designed for a variety of climbing styles. The boulders may not be high but that doesn't make them easy, there are a number of technically challenging routes to get your brain thinking and your body working.
Bouldering is a popular and dynamic sport that teaches you rock climbing movement and skills without ropes or the fear of falling. To give bouldering a try you should have first completed a start up course or already be a competent climber.
We'll have an outdoor bouldering technique day on 29 March 2009 in Northumberland where you can put your experience at EICA to good use on real rock. Spaces are limited so book early.
