Dave MacLeod, one of Scotland’s best and the world’s boldest climbers, comes to EICA on 24 September. Dave will present the compelling story of his recent ascent of Don’t Die of Ignorance on Ben Nevis.
Don’t Die of Ignorance XI, is a 11 275m route climbed by Dave MacLeod and Joe French on March 16th 2008. Dave and Joe followed the 1987 aid route by Andy Cave and Simon Yates, but took a more direct line at the crux. It took six attempts but Dave made it to the top of this spectacular route. Come along and listen to his tales of woe and then ultimate success.
