EICA will be hosing a fun bouldering competition from the 17th-18th January.
Competitors will have 5 hours to complete a series of bouldering route problems of varying difficulties. Scoring will be based on how many attempts are taken to complete a problem, with 10 points awarded on the first attempt, 7 points on the second, 5pts on the third and 2pts on any successful ascent thereafter .
The competitions are not just for seasoned climbers, it is available to climbers of all levels of ability and ages. Adults will be competing on Saturday the 17th of January and juniors on Sunday the 18th of January. There will be a number of categories where adults and juniors can win prizes, which will be awarded at the end of the day at a prize giving ceremony.
